An Inconvenient Question: ‘When Are You Going to Stop…’

VIDEO WE LOVE | What many don’t want to hear but deeply long to hear. An antidote to the games played by ‘never enough’—if we dare to listen.
Portrait of Native American Oren Lyons

Don’t we hate it when conscious people press on our conscience? Maybe—but the honest part of us loves being faced with truth. After that, all that remains is gathering courage…

Or continuing the bullshit.

This post is part of the Bookturbo collection—videos, films and books that would inspire the writing of the book Money is Never About Money.

The video below shows how never enough plays games with even the so-called smartest of people. It’s a recording of Native American Oren Lyons talking about his meeting with a group of international chief executives, plus the questions he asks one executive, culminating in the mother of all questions.

Oren’s question became part of chapter two of the book Money is Never About Money, ‘This is Not an Economics Class’, which talks about what money essentially is, the dynamics of a system that doesn’t know when more is enough, and the underlying cause of that system—a cause that, when we dare to look honestly, is not out there but in us.
