#1 We Built a State-of-the-Art Basecamp 🏕️ IN 2 DAYS—Here’s How
In this second Basecamp Video Update (the first actual update): the mission, the journey, and boldly turning a 40-year-old caravan into Miracle Project’s first ultra-modern HQ.
🏕️ A temporary piece of land
In the summer of 2024, I contacted Rhitambar and Damini, a young Portuguese couple I met a year earlier during a natural building course. We felt an instant click, they are involved in a community project in the area that the project and felt drawn to, and we agreed I'd send word when I returned.
Last August, I called to ask if they had ideas for an initial landing site, but the site was already there. 'We still have a few pieces of land we're currently doing anything with but which need care,' Damini said. 'If you want, you can have your first basecamp there.'
Win win. They provide the place; I give the care.
And so it happened. In November, I hooked up a small, forty-year-old caravan to 'Subo', my faithful four-wheeled companion, and shortly afterwards I arrived at...
Brambles—lots of them, which Rhitambar and I had our way with on day two, to create a beautiful piece of clear-cut land that now serves as Miracle Project's first home, recording studio and plans-to-take-over-the-world headquarters.
We couldn't have been given a more beautiful start, and with the challenges that the project and I also face here (more on that in the next update), I can now look back on an exciting first period, with more alignment and movement than I could have imagined.
