21-23 NOV 2025 đ§ Water Cycle Revival Course
đșđŸ Proudly presenting:
» A hands-on introduction to small-scale water cycle revival at a beautiful centre in the foothills of the Serra da Estrella mountains in Central Portugal
» For you if you're keen on busting whatever's not true about ecosystem regenerationâand being the change we all wish to see
» Led by Guilherme Weishar from EcoAtivo and Raymundo Resink from Miracle Project. Two passionate practitioners, teachers and co-founders of MĂŁos na Terra ("Hands in the Earth"), a community-driven initiative that's been coordinating eco-regeneration actions across the Beira Baixa region in Central Portugal since this summerâs fires
Course Summary
- Learn the principles of rainwater harvesting, how to âthink like waterâ, read the landscape and implement water-retention structures for the good of your lands and community.
- Walk the terrain, map flows, and then see these ideas come to life in a site design for Guilherme's Quinta do Céu.
- Make learning stick through hands-on field exercisesâmarking contours, planning small water-retention structures, and translating principles into action.
- Go home with a clear framework, practical skills, and the confidence to begin regenerative water work on your own land or with your community.
What will this weekend give you?
A shift in mindset
Busting the myths that can keep us stuck in (invisible) degradation loops, and embodying natural, abundance-increasing patterns.
Adaptive knowledge
- Mitigating droughtâfloodâfire risks, âthinking like waterâ and working for water.
- Doâs and donâts of water harvesting, water retention, and earthworks like swales, ponds, dams and terraces.
- Doâs and donâts of (inter)planting, mulching, irrigating and managing.
- Designing with the result in mind, planning for the next season, and learning with agility as you go.
Practical skills
- Practice quieting the mind and letting the land speak through you.
- Become a reader of landforms, soils, vegetation, flows, threats and opportunities.
- Build small water-retention structures, safety valves and erosion-stoppers that you can implement immediatelyâno machinery needed.
Empowerment and connection
Because no one is as smart as everyone, and together we are so much better at being the change we wish to see.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Youâll receive frameworks designed to empower you in becoming a co-creator of strong, lush and healthy environmentsâthrough the element that connects all: water.
- Youâll put theory into practice.
- Youâll have the chance to ask remaining questions at the end, so that you can go home with the skills you need to start where you are.
- Youâll receive links to our sources of inspiration and deeper dives, to help you shape your own learning journey.

Your teachers
This course is led by Guilherme Weishar, project manager of Environmental Association EcoAtivo and Raymundo Resink, co-founder of the Miracle Project Association.

Guilherme got into rainwater harvesting by participating in a reforestation project in La Muela, Spain, in 2017 , led by the Ecosystem Restoration Camps Foundation. In this 1-month project, he got to experiment with building small check dams. In 2018, he participated in an Erasmus Youth Exchange with a 10-day programme focused on watershed management. In 2021, he became EcoAtivo's project manager and has since hosted many ecological interventions with volunteers and course participants.

Raymundo followed Syntropic Agroforestry courses in the Netherlands and Portugal, and recently completed a six-month water cycle revival course at WaterStories.com. Miracle Project is the culmination of his dream: a community-driven ecosystem and people regeneration project. A model site and learning centre that reinvents how we relate to ourselves, each other, and the planet.

Inspired by lumineers like Sepp Holzer (Austria), Brad Lancaster (Rainwater Harvesting, USA), Zach Weiss (Water Stories, USA), Jos Willemsen (Teaming with Life, The Netherlands) and Ernst Götsch (Syntropic Agroforestry, Brazil), Guilherme and Raymundo have been honing their skills by doing what they love: learning while teaching.
